9am. Think crisp cold morning with a steaming coffee in hand. Sitting in the grandstand overlooking turn 1, there are less than other F1 fans at this time in the morning. When the cars start to exit the pit lane and approach the first corner, you can hear the cars being sucked to the road as they brake and downshift.
5:45pm. The sun is setting and I have a beer in hand. Cars are still running, trying to squeeze in valuable laps before the session finishes at 6pm. By now, you recognise the different tones of the engines and the sound of the aero. You can guess who is coming before they arrive.
Visit Barcelona for F1 testing. It’s beyond worth it.
