Red Bull Racing unveiled the RB14, with a blue camouflage-style livery instead of the team’s familiar racing colours. But Red Bull Racing has made it clear the livery is a “special edition” and that the colour scheme that will be used in race trim will only break cover at pre-season testing at Barcelona.
The car was shaken down by Ricciardo at Silverstone on Monday, using one of the team’s allocation of ‘filming days’.
The RB14 is powered by a Renault V6 turbo hybrid, which will remain branded as TAG Heuer for a third straight season.
It could be the last Red Bull F1 car carrying a Renault engine, with the status of the parties’ relationship beyond 2018 unclear.
