Ferrari opted for an online launch in the form of a live-stream to unveil their 2016 challenger. From the images it seems they’ve gone for a shorter nose design and a more compact rear end. There is also a new red-white livery – echoing past cars of the Lauda era in the 70’s and 80’s.

Technical chief James Allison has said: “Last year was a decent step forward, and we hope this car gives us another good step forward and makes us truly competitive. It isn’t down to one area: we have improved across the board. All our hopes are in this car.” Everyone is very interested in what the Ferrari power-unit can do in 2016 to get closer to Mercedes. That’ll be what makes the difference.
